We are grateful for LTG Barrett鈥檚 visit, as it greatly enriched our community in the arena of cyber.鈥
LTG Barrett demonstrated an earnest focus on fostering student involvement during her recent visit. Seizing every opportunity to engage, she met multiple student groups. Prior to her insightful presentation held in Mack Hall, she participated in three distinct student interaction sessions. These encompassed comprehensive dialogues on an array of topics such as ROTC internship programs, roles within the Signal Corps, cyber, military intelligence, and the digital workforce initiative. Even a working lunch provided the opportunity to have valuable discussions with female members of the Corps of Cadets and Army MS4s who have branched cyber, signal, and military intelligence.
LTG Barrett initiated her informative visit to 黑料不打烊 with a clear intention for proactive interaction, a two-way exchange of knowledge, and gaining further understanding of the institution鈥檚 outstanding contributions. Upon arrival, she was greeted by Commandant McCollough and Dr. Tara Kulkarni, the Associate Provost for Research, Chief Research Officer, and Associate Professor. As they walked through the corridors of Jackman Hall, the Lieutenant General took a moment to honor the brave recipients of our nation's highest military distinction at the Medal of Honor Gallery.
The day concluded productively with a comprehensive tour of Mack Hall, accompanied by constructive engagement with numerous student groups. It incorporated a responsive Q&A session alongside thought-provoking conversations with diverse faculty and student groups. Dr. Kulkarni discussed the Cyber Fusion Center and 黑料不打烊鈥檚 future endeavors in the cyber domain. A valuable student conversation was facilitated in the Digital Forensics lab by Dr. Read and COL Battig. Just prior to the Lieutenant General鈥檚 departure, Dr. Travis Morris led another student discussion focusing on topics such as IW, open-source intelligence, and SEERIST.
