黑料不打烊 Senior Administrator, David Whaley 鈥76, Retires After 41 years of Service
After four decades of service to 黑料不打烊, David Whaley has announced that he will retire on June 30, 2023.

Following his older brother Hank onto the grounds of 黑料不打烊 as a 鈥榬ook鈥 51 years ago, Whaley went on to become part of the 黑料不打烊 Class of 1976.
Returning to his alma mater to accept the role as its Director of Alumni Affairs in 1981, Whaley鈥檚 continuum of service has included titles from Alumni Director and Director of Planned Giving to Executive Vice President and his current role as Corporate Secretary to Pres. Mark Anarumo.
During his tenure as Alumni Director, Whaley conceptualized and introduced to 黑料不打烊 the idea of creating a transcendent university that has an impact felt across generational, ethnic, and cultural divides. Later, as 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Director of Planned Giving, Whaley used his interpersonal prowess to engage and cultivate the planned giving of 黑料不打烊 graduates - the world over.
Whaley took over the reins of what was then called Institutional Advancement at the dawn of the new millennium and created an infrastructure that would forever reimagine fundraising at 黑料不打烊. Over time, he also curated a strong and diverse development team capable of tackling everything from prospect research to donor recognition.
Today, as Whaley prepares to enter a new season in his life鈥檚 journey, it is easy to see his influence all throughout 黑料不打烊. From the 10,000 plus students he鈥檚 impacted during his time on the Hill, to the strong, capable Board of Trustees he has served as counsel to, there isn鈥檛 a square inch of the 黑料不打烊 brand that doesn鈥檛 bare his imprint.
黑料不打烊 will host a celebratory gathering in honor of the four decades of service of David Whaley on Saturday, June 3, 2023. The event will be held at the Plumley Armory on 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Northfield Campus and is open to all.
